Hong Kong and Beijing - Sept 18, 2006 - Sanrio Wave Hong Kong Company Limited and Gameislive Corporation Limited announced today that the two companies will cooperate to bring Hello Kitty and her friends to China’s 400 million mobile phone users. The cooperation calls Gameislive to develop and operate a massively multiplayer online game (MMOG) on mobile, based on Sanrio’s all time favorite characters, including Hello Kitty, My Melody, Badtz-Maru, Keroppi and etc.

“China’s mobile game market has been a priority for Sanrio. It is critical to find the right partner, with the experience and track record to develop mobile online games, and the ability and know-how to market it effectively throughout the huge country,” said Hiroaki Nishino, General Manager of Sanrio Wave Hong Kong Co., Ltd.,, “and we are glad to find these elements in Gameislive.”

The game, which is already under active development, is targeted to be available in China for open beta on November.

Apart from mobile MMOG, Gameislive also offers mobile wallpapers, MMS, and standalone mobile through China Mobile and various channel partners.
